Architectural Accessibility

  1. Public transport stops are located approximately 260 meters from the main entrance to the City Hall, at Piastowska Street (access via Wrocławska Street).
  2. There are three entrances to the building:
  • From Świdnicka Street: accessible via stairs or a ramp for people with special needs, leading to the Civil Registry Office and the Population Records and ID Cards Office. Note: the ramp is not automatic but complies with applicable standards.
  • Also from Świdnicka Street: through the “Iron Gate” passage, leading to the Customer Service Office, the Cashier’s Office, and the Local Passport Point. These offices serve the general public.
  • From the west (Ząbkowicka Street): leads to the City Council Office.This entrance is not adapted for people with special needs
  1. In the passage behind the “Iron Gate” and before the entrance to the Customer Service Office, there is an elevator (dimensions: 1.40m x 1.35m; door width: 0.9m) providing access to the Mayor’s Office, the Knight’s Hall, the Library, and the City Council Office. The elevator is available during City Hall opening hours.
  2. The nearest designated parking space for persons with disabilities is located approximately 30 meters from the City Hall entrances.
  3. A public restroom adapted for persons with special needs is located on the ground floor, in the passage leading to the Customer Service Office, directly on the left-hand side from the entrance.
  4. In front of the building (to the left of the “Iron Gate” passage), there is a tactile map indicating evacuation routes and the location of induction loops.
  5. The building is equipped with an evacuation mattress and an evacuation chair.
  6. There are Braille labels on handrails, informational signs for the elevator, room number plates with Braille, and embossed pictograms.
  7. Persons with special needs may enter the building with a guide or assistance dog.

Induction loops are available in the City Hall building: a stationary induction loop is located at the Customer Service Office at the first service desk (on the left side from the entrance), and four portable induction loops are available in the Civil Registry Office, the Population and Identity Documents Office, the Mayor’s Office, and the City Hall Cashier's Office in Dzierżoniów.
