New Year’s Meeting in Dzierżoniów – Investments, Development and Plans for 2026
On 14 January, the annual New Year’s Meeting was held at the “Zbyszek” Cinema-Theatre, during which the Mayor of Dzierżoniów, Dariusz Kucharski, presented a summary of 2025 as well as the city’s investment and development plans for 2026. The event was attended by representatives of the city’s organizational units, institutions cooperating with the local government, the Dzierżoniów business community, and non-governmental organizations. The meeting was also attended by members of parliament, delegations from partner cities and neighboring municipalities, as well as representatives of uniformed services.
The Mayor spoke about initiatives that will create new development opportunities for Dzierżoniów and the region. He emphasized that in 2025 the city secured PLN 29 million in external funding and implemented investments with a total value exceeding PLN 40 million. Key investment directions planned for 2026 were also presented. Dzierżoniów remains an important center of entrepreneurship – currently, 2,700 people run sole proprietorships in the city, and the total number of business entities amounts to approximately 4,600. During the meeting, the Mayor also recalled the city’s measures aimed at supporting entrepreneurs, including investment support programs and property tax exemptions under de minimis aid and regional investment aid.
The official part of the event was enhanced by a performance by Andrzej Poniedzielski, and the meeting also provided an opportunity for informal discussions, exchange of experiences, and integration of local government, business, and social communities.
