COVID-19: end of epidemic emergency

From July 1, 2023, the state of epidemic threat will not apply. This means the abolition of recent covid restrictions, but also the possibility of using extended deadlines.

From July 1, 2023, the last restrictions will no longer apply:

  • suspension of railway traffic crossing the Polish border with the Republic of Belarus,
  • an order to cover the mouth and nose in buildings where medical activities are carried out.

Most of the extended deadlines applicable during the COVID-19 pandemic have already expired. In several cases, the deadlines were extended for a specified period after the end of the state of epidemic or epidemic threat. The latest covid extensions concern m. ZUS prolongation fee - Exemptions from the fee in the case of postponing the payment date or spreading ZUS contributions into installments for the period from January 1, 2020 - the term of validity expires on July 31, 2023.

The end of the state of epidemic emergency is important information for entrepreneurs whose residence titles entitling them to set up a business have been extended due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
The extended titles will be valid, as in the case of foreign employees, until the 30th day after the cancellation of the state of epidemic emergency, i.e. until July 31, 2023. An entrepreneur who fails to settle matters related to his stay in the territory of Poland may lose his authorization to continue business activity and be removed from CEIDG by way of a decision.
The exception are citizens of Ukraine who can use the extension of residence titles until March 4, 2024.
