In 2016, Sejm of the Republic of Poland established June 21 as the Entrepreneur's Day. Establishing this holiday is aimed at strengthening the awareness and knowledge of the society about economic processes and appreciating the contribution of entrepreneurs in building prosperity and economic development of our country.

On this occasion, Mayor of Dzierżoniów - Dariusz Kucharski wishes all entrepreneurs:

Dear entrepreneurs, I wish you positive changes, new opportunities and continuous development. Let work be your passion and give you constant energy to act. Thank you for taking up challenges and skillfully dealing with difficulties in today's turbulent times. I would also like to thank you for supporting local initiatives, building social bonds and investing in our city at the same time. On the occasion of your holiday, I wish you never to doubt the meaning of your mission, which is running a company, and that you always feel satisfaction from the work you do.

There are 4,455 registered business entities in Dzierżoniów. Over 99% of all entities registered in our city are micro-entrepreneurs and sole proprietors (4,421 entities). At the end of 2022, there were 32 medium-sized enterprises and 2 large plants operating in the city: Cooper Standard Polska Ltd. – a zone company employing nearly 640 people and GE Aviation Dzierżoniów Ltd. employing over 300 employees. The next largest entity in the city in terms of the number of employees is Zebra Ltd. - employing 275 people.
